Stuff You Missed in History Class

What it’s About

“Stuff You Missed in History Class” is a podcast hosted by Holly Frey and Tracy V. Wilson. The podcast delves into lesser-known historical events and figures, providing listeners with detailed narratives and research-based insights.

The podcast also frequently revisits classic episodes and uncovers new archaeological and historical discoveries. For instance, the “Unearthed!” series shares recent findings such as a 4,000-year-old tomb in Ireland, a Bronze Age settlement with expert textile craftsmanship, and updates to the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, which enhances the rights of tribes to reclaim ancestral remains and cultural items (Omny Studio) (PodPulse).

Why I Like It

I like hearing all of the sides of story and learning about individuals. This podcast has helped me learn different perspectives. It primarily focuses on American history but they sometimes cover other history. I like to know what the latest theories and discoveries are of historical events. I’ve also learned a lot about events, practices and people I never knew about. I’m really proud that I’ve listened to every single podcast, earning myself an official Stuff You Missed In History Class Phd (I have the T-shirt to prove it).
